For anyone watching this web, I'm sure by now you've realized I have revamped it. It is now currently being developed within the Apache Tomcat servlet container using Eclipse 3.2 with Java SDK 1.5.08. I've been working with cutting edge technologies at the workplace and finally wanted to be able to spread my wings a little bit at home. I'm even using a little bit of AJAX on my Slideshow. I am both pleased and excited to present this work.
As a side note, I have also recently developed a lightweight system tray application for managing daily events. It works similar to a calendar but has timed pop-ups and warnings for events coming soon and on the current day. The main reason I built it was to become familiar with SWT and learn a little about RCP, but it has become a handy little tool for myself, and possibly those I have distributed it to. It requires a JRE (Java Runtime Environment) which can be downloaded here. The zip download of the actual program is available here (Version 1.0.6) and the source is available here. To run the program, simply unzip the project and run the BlackBook.jar. Currently, it has only been tested on Windows XP and I won't be doing any cross-platform tests until I have a request for it. Eventually I plan on taking the project to SourceForge, but am fairly busy now and have very limited amount of time.
If you like my work, I'm doing web and RCP application development as contract work in my spare time. I'm flexible and will work to meet your deadlines. Need to see a bit more? Visit the projects page.
